Friday Night (day)Lights
We started off Friday night at a pub near the hotel called Fenian’s (Adelaide TCE), for a few pints of VC. Next headed into the city center for dinner. It’s amazing how many places are closed after 6pm. It was nuts trying to find an open place for food. But we did, and after dinner headed into Subiaco. From what we were told, Subiaco is a more trendy neighborhood with bars and clubs, and that’s exactly what we found. We went to the Subiaco Hotel Bar, which was pretty happening on a Friday night. (Did i really just type “happening”? I MUST be tired. Or old.)
After a few drinks there, we decided to head back to the hotel for some drinks before bed. But little did we know, we were no where nearto getting to sleep.
While we were at the bar, we met the chef of our hotel restaurant. A young guy, and some of his girlfriends. We got to chatting with them, and before we knew it, we were at his flat, drinking beers and getting ready to head to the casino.
The casino was a short cab ride away. We played some blackjack and roulette (29 black, of course, Mom!) and went to the night club in the casino called the Ruby Room. Where i proceeded to out dance everyone on the dance floor. Surprise, surprise, huh?
A guy walked up to me and told me, “You dance like no other person in here, look around. You are awesome!” Hahaha, it was true (well, the awesome part, too) but watching people dance, it was very different.
Back to the chef’s house. I would love to tell you the details of what happened then, but i cannot recall most of them. There was pizza, swimming, and i think some random dude? At 6:00am Josh and i walked back to the hotel, exhausted, just as the sun was coming up on the harbor. What a night. (er, daylight)
and…oddly–no pictures. ;-/
